Dr Riaan Steyn is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in replacement surgery with a focus on Arthroplasty (hips, knees & shoulders), all related knee surgery, Sports Medicine surgery, as well as Trauma surgery.
After matriculating at Grey College in Bloemfontein and completing his MBChB degree (UFS) in 1993, Dr Steyn acquired his M. Med (Ortho) (UFS) in 2006. His passion is to treat all patients with dignity, compassion and empathy in Orthopaedic related diseases and injuries. He is committed to accompanying patients back on their Orthopaedic journey to recovery.
His private practice was established in 2007. In June 2015, he relocated his private practice to the Mediclinic Bloemfontein.
His private practice gives Dr Steyn the ability to manage his practice’s development and assist his patients most effectively whilst using all available state of the art resources.

Dr Steyn is the most passionate about Replacement surgery and Sports Medicine and is involved in Free State rugby and Shimla rugby where he consults all age groups.
